The Day The Earth Stood Still

a watchable remake of that 1951 classic. A very more serious take on this movie, that tries to carry an environmentalist view on the damage mankind is doing to the planet.
This movie, although it does not live up to its predecessor, is a very enjoyable experience, if you go in with an open mind that you will not see an all-out action movie, but a slow movie with a message, with a great performance by Connelly btw.
In my opinion this movie has been very underrated, but as most movies with a serious message, i think it will find its fanbase later on the DVD.

Chineese Democracy out this week… finally!!!!

It seems hell froze… Chinese Democracy will finally see the light of day.

Curiosity, complacency, or sadomasochistic tendencies will undoubtedly draw you to Axl Rose and what remains of Guns N’ Roses.

However the real question is: was it really worth the wait?

While fans are quick to crown Rose’s latest disc as the great successor for Appetite for Destruction, others might not think so.

I do not want to give an opinion until I listen to it, but then again it’s not the album I have been waiting for… who knows if I’ll even listen to it.

(nah, who am I kidding, I probably will)

Led Zeppelin Tour 2009

Led Zeppelin, have announced their intentions to tour without their frontman Robert Plant in 2009.

Lead guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist John Paul Jones, and drummer Jason Bonham (son to the deceased John Bonham), have begun auditioning singers to replace Plant, who decided to opt out of a reunion tour, in favor of his solo career.

To avoid a backlash from purest and bloodthirsty fans, the opportunistic trio plan to tour under a different name.

“Whatever this is, it is not Led Zeppelin,” said a nameless spokesman for the newly formed band. “Not without the involvement of Robert Plant.”

A complete itinerary has yet to be announced.

I am legend 2… WTF?

For some time there has been the rumor that there was going to be an I AM Legend prequel. ‘Well, apparently the script wasn’t well received and the studio is now thinking on a sequel, ( which can be a bit difficult if we remember Will Smith blowing himself up at the end of the original ).

According to the original article, Will Smith was working on the prequel idea, which wasn’t convincing to Warner, so now the choice is a sequel which, i can honestly say, sounds kind of a riculous choice.
